Ah, the first day of Spring Break. Makayla only had a half day at school and Nick and Alli were done with their schooling in plenty of time to enjoy the sunny afternoon. Nick, Makayla and I carried the raft - ie... big heavy wooden platform - and inter tubes down to the river. They launched from the beach up stream and then let the current carry them down to the fallen tree. Then they tied off to the tree and floated on their raft. Alli and I went to Walmart and found this 2 man raft and some rope. We then threw the rope out to Nick and he tied it to their raft and I tied the other end to a tree on shore. We then tie the new raft onto the rope so they could get to and from shore. They had a great time playing on the river. I enjoyed the action from shore in my chase lounge. When it was time to come in Nick told Alli to jump into the raft and he would take her to shore. She jumped in and then fell right back out. She swam to shore and I pulled her up. She was a little drippy but fine. Shall We Gather At the River...
